Position Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and curious Trainee ( QA Engineer ) to join our quality assurance team. As a fresher, you will undergo intensive training to understand the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC). This role is designed for someone who has a natural "eye for detail," a strong logical mindset, and a passion for technology. Your success will be measured by your ability to learn quickly, communicate effectively with the team, and approach problems with a solution-oriented attitude.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Learning & Foundational Execution

• Product Learning: Dedicate time to deeply understand the business logic and user journeys of our web and mobile applications.

• Test Execution: Execute pre-defined manual test cases under the supervision of a mentor to ensure features work as intended.

• Observation & Reporting: Identify discrepancies between expected behavior and actual results, and learn to document them clearly as "Defects."

• Documentation Support: Assist in maintaining test documentation and updating test case repositories as you learn the product.

Interpersonal & Team Collaboration

• Active Listening: Participate in team meetings and grooming sessions, taking notes and asking clarifying questions to eliminate ambiguity.

• Effective Communication: Clearly communicate the steps to reproduce an issue to developers and seniors, both verbally and in writing.

• Collaborative Spirit: Work closely with cross-functional team members, demonstrating a willingness to help and a positive attitude toward feedback.

Authority

• Questioning Authority: to ask "Why" regarding product logic or team processes to ensure full understanding.

• Issue Identification: Authority to flag any behavior in the application that feels "broken" or "confusing" from a user’s perspective.

• Self-Learning: Authority to suggest and explore specific areas of the product or testing techniques they wish to master during their training period.

Accountability

• Learning Agility: Accountable for meeting defined learning milestones within the first 90 days of joining.

• Clarity of Thought: Responsible for ensuring that every bug reported is clear, concise, and easy for a developer to understand and documented test case execution.

• Professionalism: Accountable for punctuality, meeting task deadlines, and maintaining a high level of professional ethics in team interactions.

Required Skills and experience

• Education: B.Tech (CS/IT), MCA, or equivalent technical degree.

• Logical Reasoning: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to think through complex scenarios.

• Communication: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

• Attitude: High curiosity, a "can-do" spirit, and a strong desire to build a career in Software Quality.

• Detail Oriented: A natural ability to spot inconsistencies or errors that others might overlook.

Good to Have

• Technical Awareness: Basic understanding of how websites work (HTML/Browsers) or familiarity with mobile apps.

• Self-Study: Any certifications or online courses completed in Software Testing (e.g., Udemy, Coursera).

• Project/Internship: Any internship experience or college project related to software development or testing.
