Reduced Cloud Costs & Optimize Infrastructure Efficiency

Cut cloud spend by 20% by transforming inefficient infrastructure into a lean, high-performance environment with zero downtime.

Project Overview

Our client was a major professional body whose cloud was an organically-grown system spanning several years. Nonetheless, the absence of governance and transparency contributed to the increased cost, inefficiency and poor control on how the resources are used.

The client was interested in having full visibility of their cloud environment, cutting needless expenditures and streamlining infrastructure without disturbing live operations. This was aimed at developing a well-governed, cost-effective system that can enable long-term scalability and performance.

What We Did?

Our team engaged in a complete cloud audit using automated tools as well as professional DevOps analysis to determine inefficiencies and hidden costs leaks. Our priorities were on infrastructure optimization without being affected by distribution and without disrupting production workloads.

We adopted a well-planned and gradual optimization plan, which considered the underused resources, overprovided services, outdated infrastructure, and storage wastage. The method involved right-sizing calculate instances, deleting unutilized resources, optimizing the network components, and storage lifecycle policies. Besides, we have added cost governance practices, such as Reserved Instance planning and ongoing monitoring. The element of transformation in this case led to massive costs saved as well as a greater efficiency in infrastructure and better visibility in the cloud setting.
