Boosting Visibility for an Automotive E-commerce Store!

Helping an automotive parts retailer resolve critical issues with sitemap crawling, regain image visibility for SERPs and launch a low-cost custom Trustpilot integration for Magento 2.

Project Overview

An automotive eCommerce platform in the US market with a catalogue of about 50,000 car parts. Despite having a fully stocked items coverage, the business had to confront constant technical and SEO issues that were directly impacting the online visibility and trustworthiness of customers. VT Netzwelt worked with the client to correct issues with sitemap crawling, product image disappearing from Google search results. The complete customization of a Trustpilot review module, all while collaborating closely with their in-house Magento developer.

What We Did?

The client was looking for a technology partner who could diagnose and resolve deep-seated SEO and integration issues without interfering with their existing setup of the Magneto e-commerce system. Our team stepped in to run point implementation, from the technical audit to implementation

 

We worked directly with the support team at Google Search Console to fix issues of sitemap crawling failures and get the sitemaps, including image sitemaps, submitted and indexed. Product image URL problems due to the client side updates of filenames are identified and fixed to resort to regular SERP visibility. Using the Trustpilot API only minimally, a fully custom Trustpilot module was created, which offers minimal costs since it is used to display the reviews in a flexible slider on the product detail pages. 

 

Zoho Books was integrated to process accounting operations more efficiently and Git to standardize the code deployment process throughout the team. All solutions were scoped to fit into the client’s budget and technical constraints with careful coordination being maintained throughout with their in-house Magento developer.
